If we are lucky we can easily find out from our parents.
Some parents keep mementos from the day we were born. They save them in a scrapbook or a baby book. And, we can find out by going through these books. And, sometimes by just asking our parents it will jog their memory and they can tell us general facts about the time we were born. Or even better ask your grandparents. They are a wealth of knowledge, and for them the day a grandchild is born is a day they do remember. But, many times we have to do the research. Thanks to the Internet we can find out lots of information. Start by just doing a search using your birthday. Do two searches one with the month spelled out in full, and one with the month abbreviated. Example: "October 15, 1967" and then "Oct 15, 1967". Put your search in quotations marks. You will find some data about events occurring on the day you were born. The other method is the old fashion way - go to your local library and ask the Liberian for help in looking at archives of old newspapers. Hopefully you will be able to find the archive for the day you were born. By reading the paper you will find lots of information and content concerning your birthday. The one thing we can tell you for certain about the date on which you were born is: but remember, "Every life is like a story, make yours a best seller." |

And, here are some great Birthday quotes to add to your daily diary: Just remember, once you're over the hill you begin to pick up speed. Charles Schultz Birth may be a matter of a moment, but it is a unique one. At middle age the soul should be opening up like a rose, not closing up like a cabbage. It's sad to grow old, but nice to ripen. Sooner or later we all discover that the important moments in life are not the advertised ones, not the birthdays, the graduations, the weddings, not the great goals achieved. The real milestones are less prepossessing. They come to the door of memory unannounced, stray dogs that amble in, sniff around a bit and simply never leave. Our lives are measured by these. We grow too soon old and too late smart. Because time itself is like a spiral, something special happens on your birthday each year: The same energy that God invested in you at birth is present once again. When I was younger, I could remember anything, whether it had happened or not; but my faculties are decaying now and soon I shall be so I cannot remember any but the things that never happened. It is sad to go to pieces like this but we all have to do it. Middle age is the time when a man is always thinking that in a week or two he will feel as good as ever. |
